Ok, this is maybe a little premature as yet but i need to start somewhere. Just to fill you in on what is going on here; a tree house, a jungle and about three weeks.
But first you need some background. About a year a go me and my co-conspirator Toby were building a geodesic sphere Treehouse in the beautiful grounds of West Dean College. While there we were fortunate enough to meet a wonderful woman by the name of Zaira. Zaira is from Mexico and is the curator of the Edward James museum in Los Pozas, Xillitla. She liked what we were doing and casually said that it would be nice if we could build one over there perhaps, we less than casually agreed. Now look, there is much more to all this, but i am new here, i haven't done this kind of thing before and i am not really sure what is expected.
As i said in the beginning, this is a little premature, i don't fly out to Mexico for another 3 weeks but i know if i did not start this soon then it would just get swept up in a maelstrom of activity that planning this is project is going to become. As to why i am doing this there are several reasons. Firstly there seem to be a lot of people interested in Treehouses and so primarily this for them, i aim to post regular pictures of the project coming together and to share my experience of it from on the ground. Also feedback, although there a lots of people interested in the subject, its not often you get to meet and share ideas with that many people who are involved in it, so any feedback would be most welcome. Lastly for purely selfish reasons, i am renowned for being terrible at documenting projects, in fact the reason i have anything remotely resembling a portfolio at this point is largely down to the hard work and persistence of others (thanks Stefka!) so i feel that by setting this up i may feel more responsible for documenting it.

On Saturday 28 March 2009 at 8.30pm, we want a billion people around the world to sign up and switch off their lights for one hour – WWF's Earth Hour.

This huge global event will send a message to world leaders that we want action to tackle climate change. It also offers a great opportunity to raise vital funding for WWF to continue promoting solutions to climate change.
